Everything you need to know for a successful Rise of the Resistance Ride

The ride

Rise of the Resistance is Disneylands most popular attraction with California locals and tourists alike. Since its opening on January 17, 2020, it has had extremely long wait times. The wait times can be 2 hours or more during peak times. It is currently the most popular attraction at Disneyland.

Lightning Lane

Disneyland introduced a new way to access attractions, the Lightning Lane. Lightning Lane is available through the Disneyland app. It will cost you $20 per person, per ride to utilize the Lightning Lane.

The Lightning Lane has significantly decreased the wait times for Rise of the Resistance and other popular attractions.

Tips

The best time to grab a Lightning Lane is at 7 am when the park opens. Sometimes you might be lucky and Lightning Lanes will still be available later. If so, the latest they should be available is by 11 am. Once the Lightning Lanes are gone for the day, you will have to wait in the regular line.

Another way to decrease wait times is by joining a single-rider line. Single Rider lines are usually only open during peak park hours.
