2025 Philippine Elections: Important Dates and Information

Upcoming Elections in the Philippines

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025 national and local elections.

The following positions will be up for election:

• President
• Vice President
• Senators
• Members of the House of Representatives
• Governors
• Vice Governors
• Provincial Board Members
• Mayors
• Vice Mayors
• Municipal Councilors
• Barangay Captains
• Barangay Councilors

Election Dates

The 2025 national and local elections will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025.

The deadline for filing certificates of candidacy is October 15, 2024.

The campaign period for national candidates will begin on February 9, 2025, and end on May 7, 2025.

The campaign period for local candidates will begin on March 25, 2025, and end on May 7, 2025.

The results of the elections are expected to be released within 24 hours after the polls close.

Voter Registration

The deadline to register to vote in the 2025 elections is September 30, 2024.

To register to vote, you must be a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of the Philippines for at least six months.

You can register to vote at your local COMELEC office or at any satellite registration site.

Election Day

On Election Day, polls will be open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

To vote, you will need to bring your voter's registration card or any government-issued ID.

You will be required to sign the voters' list before you can vote.

Election Results

The results of the elections will be released by the COMELEC within 24 hours after the polls close.

The official results will be posted on the COMELEC website and in major newspapers.
